MARK ALLIS

DIRECTOR

Mark Allis has grown up with the Company and has now taken on the running and development of Sutton Music Centre. With the retail showroom, teaching studios, instrument workshop and live music events he is aiming at Sutton Music Centre becoming the hub for music making in Sutton and surrounding areas. Mark is a session drummer who has played with an ecletic mix of artists ranging from Frank Sinatra to The Mighty Boosh!

JOHN ALLIS

DIRECTOR

Having spotted the niche for a musical retail outlet back in 1980, the managing Director John initially converted his garage business into a music shop in Tadworth. The opportunity to purchase Sutton music shop then arose shortly afterwards in 1985 and then he swapped the Tadworth location to Banstead High Street in the mid 1990's. John is an experienced instrument repairer and services woodwind, brass and string instruments. Always keen for a chat, John will be happy to advise on matters ranging from Mozart to Musical Instrument Mechanics.

LOUISE ALLIS

Sheet Music buyer

Louise has also grown up with the Company and now manages the Sheet music department. Her reservoir of knowledge ranging from exam pieces through to the most current popular tabs Louise has helped us to provide a quick and useful service to customers with a wide range of needs. She also manages direct orders at the shop and will be happy to research any title and its availability for you.

PIERS WALMISLEY

SALES MANAGER

With nearly 30 years in the music industry, Piers has a wealth of experience, taken from both sides of the counter. Having worked for various wholesalers and retailers, Piers brings a helpful insight of how our competitors do it. Whether good or bad, every experience gleaned will help take our business forward. Set with the day to day task of managing sales within the retail showroom, Piers is on hand with some friendly and expert advice to help with your musical instrument / music related purchase. With nearly 30 years servicing guitars, you will also see Piers in the workshop setting up guitars and carrying out minor repairs too.
Piers is also a semi pro musician and has played with many bands with many years playing the function circuit. You're just as likely to see him playing in funk and soul bands, as you are to see him playing as one of the guitarists with Shane Richie & The Prelude.
